Womens day wishes with Rishikul yogshala

This blog is dedicated to all the fearless, independent, funny, humble, loving and survivor women across the globe. This is your moment to feel empowered with Yoga. Read the blog to know how.

A professional, a homemaker, a daughter, a mother, a wife, a lover, a sister, and a friend – a woman’s life is splashed in the canopies of various roles she plays throughout her lifetime. However, being a woman is so much more than playing a part or a role that life has bestowed upon her. Her recognition unto this world starts with ‘herself’. A woman can be many things and many shades, but it is her heart and soul that truly define her and her ongoing journey.

It is self-love, confidence, strength, inner-peace, courage, and vitality that shape her reality in the most idealistic sense. A self-empowered woman is a true woman of substance.

Yoga – the Route to Self-Love and Self-Empowerment

The science of life, Yoga has proven its incredible efficacies beyond doubt such that its presence can be witnessed in several areas that discuss the non-chemical methods of fostering a healthy mind, body, and spirit. Not just mental and physical fitness, it is also the sole eternal path towards self-love, and eventually, self-realization. A true yogini is a warrior and a symbol of health, confidence, compassion, strength, will power, and love – very well reflected in her poise, elegance, and passion for leading a life that is meaningful, pure, and full of love.

This women’s day, commence your journey of yoga with these five incredible yoga asanas and be the self-empowered yogini at the heart, body, and spirit.

Virbhadrasana (the Warrior Pose): Be Strong, Confident, and Brave

Virbhadrasana (the Warrior Pose)

Awaken the warrior goddess in you with Veerbhadrasana and be the epitome of strength, self-confidence, and bravado. To reach into this posture, spread your legs 4-5 feet apart. Rotate the right leg outwards and lift your arms parallel to the floor. Bend the right leg at the knee until the shin is perpendicular. Hold the position while calmly inhaling and exhaling. Maintain balance and stability with strength and confidence.

Chakrasana (the Wheel Pose): Acknowledge the Fire Within

Chakrasana (the Wheel Pose)

This intense backward pose is destined to open your heart with a fresh perspective, vigor, and positivity. This healing pose is all about restoring your faith in you and your path. If you ever feel disheartened and are unable to find your passion, lie flat on the yoga mat and gently lift your body upwards, resting in a relaxing spinal curve on both hands and feet. Remain in the posture for 10-30 seconds before gently releasing back to the initial position.

Sirsasana (the Head Stand): Find your Balance, Peace, and Positivity

Head stand pose

Practice this pose for a brand new perspective, mental clarity, rejuvenation, peace, and strength. The ultimate inversion pose shall leave you completely revitalized and ready to take on the bigger challenges in life. The facilitated flow of blood to the brain works like the perfect antidote to daily stresses and puzzles.  To reach into this pose, lift your lower body high towards the ceiling until the entire body is in a straight line with the neck and head. Remain in the pose for at least 30 seconds.

Bakasana (Crow Pose): Find your Carefree Zone

Bakasana (Crow Pose)

This pose shall help you reach that carefree zone where you get introduced to life in its peachiest form. This pose teaches how to rise even after falling a few times. It teaches to never give up and always keep faith in the Self. The posture may lead you to lose balance and fall while you make repetitive efforts to find the entire body balance on both the palms. It provokes you to remain confident and keep trying until you overcome that fear and anxiety. The hurdles in your path shall eventually diminish as you continue to strive and believe in yourself.

Balasana (Child Pose): Feel like a Child Again

Balasana (Child Pose)

This is your moment to feel like a child again. Surrender yourself into a calming embrace of the ground and let all your tension, stress, and anxieties melt away. Start afresh! For, tomorrow is going to be a much better day!

Let your yoga mat be the source of self-expression, an exhibition of liberation and grace for it shall be your trusted companion for life.

Be the inspiration and a woman as you were meant to be.

Happy Women’s Day Everyone!
